Today I learned how important it is for everyone in the classroom feel included- even if they have a different situation then the one we're in. Teaching shouldn't exclude anyone. And just because someone is different doesn't mean they should be left out! Teachers should try hard to make sure everyone in the classroom community feels included!
This week was so fun! And I can proudly say that I know all of my students' names. Working with elementary school kids has definitely increased my patience level! I learned very valuable skills on how to keep the kids calm! Overall very fun week. Excited to return next week!
Today was the first day of leaving my mark at Darby Creek. I had a good time helping around the classroom and introducing myself. The kids all were aghast when they learned that my name was Aurora and most of the girls were very happy and said that I looked like the princess. Overall a fun day. Can't wait for tomorrow!
Thanks to the firefighting teacher at Tolles, I now know how to give CPR and first aid! Seriously how cool is the ILC?
